On the spine the tea stain really smudged around the sayings. I think the decoupage varnish caused it to spread. I have another glaze that you can add acrylic paint to it and it will tint the outside. I'll try that and see what happens.
Now I'm having one heck of a time with the purple ribbon. I'm trying to glue it on but I am having one heck of a time on the last 2 inches. It just doesn't want to stay down. The front was bad enough, I actually had to sit there and hold the darn thing. To bad I didn't have little clamps. I refuse to sit there and hold the ribbon down. Oh well maybe I'll do that when I sit and watch DIY and HGTV this afternoon.
