Well it has been a while since I blogged. I did have one set up on another server but that went kaput. Seems like the owner just didn't want it the setup (it was my and other peoples blogs, internet sites, emails you name it) on his server anymore and just pulled it. YUP! Just like that, I lost everything. He deleted it all.

I was diagnosed with a dreaded disease called Meneire's last year and I have been dealing with it. Meneire's is this fullness in your ear and you get extreme vertigo, along with tinnitus and eventually you go deaf in that ear. It can also travel to your other ear. I don't leave home much unless I am with hubby. I am soooooooo afraid I will have one of those real bad ones. Everyone calls them drops, you will literally fall to the floor because vertigo has hit so intensely. If you have anything in your stomach, yup, that is coming up. You can't move and it is very hard to talk. The residual effects from this can last up to 8 hours if not more. So I try to stay near DH because he knows what is going on.

I have been doing a lot of crafting. It is relatively safe, LOL unless I should fall on my scissors, knitting needles or tin snips. I have been doing a lot of scrapbooking and card making lately. I purchases a ton of stuff, so much I am to embarrassed to admit, but one of them was the Kard-a-lope. It has templates to make different sized cards and envelopes. I have made a few so far, for my sister's birthday, my parents anniversary, a get well and a welcome home for my DS1. I need to get busy and make one for his birthday and DHs.

DS2 wrote me a letter (he decided to move to Ca. and has been out there for 3 1/2 months) and I need to make a card and write him a letter. Or maybe I'll write him a letter and send his gf a card since she sent me the sweetest card from Hallmark.

Here is one of my cards I made for a neighbor who went into the hospital to have hip surgery. I also included a jar of my homemade strawberry jam. She was so happy the first time I gave her a jar that it made me feel so good. She is elderly and it was the first year that she was unable to make strawberry jam. Her and her husband have really enjoyed it. So I decided to gift her with another jar.

Her husband is a hoot. He owns one of the local gas stations here in town and their last name is very close to mine so he has always treated me like kin. He made my move to this area so enjoyable, I felt so welcomed. Which sometimes here in the south it is very hard. A lot of the men down here think women should be seen and not heard. I am not kidding, if my DH is talking to another man and if I walk over to join the conversation the men will just stop talking and leave. This has happened more than once. Well okay I am not sure if it is because I am a women or because I'm from NY but DH seems to think it is a woman thing because he is also from NY.

Oh well enough of that. Here is the inside of the card.

Okay so I've had my fun for today. I'll post more tomorrow. It sure feels good to be back to writing.
